Céline has a passion for collaborating with teachers in order to foster a culture of curiosity and wonder in the classrooms she works in. She has 18 years of teaching experience in grades 5-12, mostly in French immersion and for the past 7 years she has worked as an Education Support Teacher for Numeracy and STEM for the Anglophone East School District in Moncton, NB, Canada. This role has allowed her to support teachers and share her enthusiasm for inquiry-based learning and implementing a maker culture in the classrooms she supports whether low or high tech.
She is co-chair of the Innovate Showcase, a yearly event in which students from her district share their creative ideas, innovations and inventions. In partnership with her colleague Beth, she has had the opportunity to co-present ideas at many conferences such as the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics Virtual Regional Conference in Jan 2021, the Bring IT Together! in February 2021, the STEAM International Summit in spring 2021 and most recently the Te[a+]ch Symposium in August 2021, which she also co-founded.
She is a teacher leader and community leader for Let’s Talk Science as well as a Sphero Hero, an MIE Expert, an Adobe Creative Educator level 2, a Flipgrid Student Voice Ambassador and co-founder of the Te[a+]ch Symposium. These opportunities have provided her with an amazing professional learning network that have inspired her greatly.
